Cleanroom technology is the application of engineering ASP and technological principles that are applied to control concentrations of such contaminants, including dust, microbes – airborne, aerosols and volatile chemicals in the context of the controlled environment. These controlled environments are important in industries such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, electronics and space industries where manufacturing processes or research require stringently controlled environment to meet contamination thresholds which can compromise product quality and safety. Cleanroom systems are also such features as air filtration systems, air change velocity, air temperature, humidity, lighting, and acoustics among others.
