Thermal printing is also defined as the usage of heat to either transfer ink or form images on paper, labels and other products. It involves two primary technologies: two processes which are well known in the market, namely the direct thermal printing and the thermal transfer printing. Thermal printing practices can be applied in various industries for instance retailing, supply chain sectors and most importantly the health-related sectors and even the food industry for instance printing of barcodes, receipts, and labels.
