Insulation of pipe work can be defined as the material applied on the outer surface of the pipes to enhance the protection against heat, and to reduce, gain or loss of heat. In situation, it features foam or fiberglass sleeves that perfectly encase the pipe, providing thermal insulation between the pipe and the surroundings. The insulation prevents the fluctuation in temperatures that would otherwise require more energy to be used in order to maintain higher temperatures in the pipes as well as minimize the formation of condensation which results in corrosion and intra mold formation in pipes.
